Your Check ID is a number given to you when you first start your check. These numbers are seven digits long. e.g. 9654321
When you begin your online application we send a verification code to your email, you need to open your email and copy the code sent in that email back into your new application and then we send confirmation emails with your check ID (reference number). Each new application will have it's own unique Check ID number. You will keep this same number for the entire application. This same number will be located at the top right hand side of the application steps you are required to complete.
These instructions explain how you can find the email which we sent when you first started your check. This first email contains your Check ID and also some other useful information. Additionally, this email will contain a link that you can use to resume your check if you had previously started but did not complete it.
If you are unable to find the email from National Crime Check in your inbox, you may want to check your spam or junk folders, as sometimes emails can get filtered into those folders.
